Humanitarian Partnerships

In order to deliver for children, UNICEF continuously strengthens and develops strategic partnerships with the public sector, the private sector, the civil society organizations, other UN agencies and international organizations.

UNICEF also develops partnerships to improve humanitarian response in emergencies. In this regard, UNICEF undertakes key responsibilities in the cluster system and is an active member of the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC). UNICEF also has strategic global partnerships with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the World Food Program (WFP), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC); and humanitarian NGO Consortia. Lastly, UNICEF has Standby Arrangements to facilitate the rapid deployment of staff to humanitarian responses.
